Growing Minds Research
An independent, interdisciplinary research organisation specialising in children's psychological, social and educational development.
About Growing Minds
Growing Minds Research was founded by two researchers and practitioners with backgrounds spanning psychology, education and child development.
Together, we bring experience in academic research and direct work with children, with a shared interest in understanding how children develop within the social and educational worlds around them.
Our aim is to carry out thoughtful, rigorous research that contributes to knowledge while remaining relevant to the everyday contexts in which children grow, learn and develop.
Our focus
Our work is concerned with understanding how children think, feel and develop over time, and with the ways in which their psychological, social and educational experiences interact.
We take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing together perspectives from psychology, education and child development to explore questions that do not sit neatly within a single discipline.
As an independent research organisation, we are able to develop research around questions that we believe are important, while maintaining a strong commitment to methodological rigour, ethical practice and the responsible handling of research data.
We are particularly interested in research with practical relevance — work that can deepen understanding of children's development while also being meaningful to schools, practitioners, families and the wider communities around children and young people.
Further research updates will follow.
